And what better way to celebrate than to bring her to a nice restuarant to have a sumptous meal. At the River View Hotel's River Palace restaurant. A la carte buffet to boot. Heh but it's my aunt who chose the place but it turned out to be a very nice comfy restuarant which serves GREAT food. Not your typical oily, salty restuarant fare where u feel thirsty and suffer from Kwok's syndrome after ingesting all the MSG-laden food...
So anyway when the bill came the 3 women (my 2 aunts and my mom) were deciding how to separate the bill. Then at the moment I decided that since it was mother's day and altho my 2 aunts were not my mom, they were remarkable mothers in every sense of their own way. So I decided to pay for it! It came to around $200 for 6 adults and 1 child but I think the amount of fun and satisfactionw e derived made every cent of it worthwhile... A long time since I feasted so heartily with family and relatives.
So anyway back to work on Monday... same old routine. Getting so sick of it all. Was just talking to another NS fren of mine who's now not at the same camp as me but we met while on course. He ORDs in early dec so that leaves him slightly more than 6 mths to ORD... and he was telling me about the 6 mth symptom where by u just lose all motivation to work and just drag ur feet to office everyday.
Well good for him that he got it only now. I got it a loooong time ago.
Well I got duty on boring boring sat but I got off on mon. Yay. In fact I have 4 days of off left to clear this month and next. hehe. Thanks to all the OT I did last month. First bitter, end sweet. I like it this way :)

Yea, I was kay kiang (hokkien for "extra" smart or act smart) and decided to take something into my own hands only to let it drop. Hmmph. Nvm lor. Try again. SOmehow I didn't feel as disappointed as I thought I might be, altho there is a costly pinch of $280 that tags along.
In any case, I think I had a rather good rest these few days. Monday I took a half day. Had a wondeeful evening out with some gals from my JC class. So glad that our frenship could last so long after JC ends, and that we can still be so comfortable woth each other and not be afraod of sharing. I think that's what true friendship is about. Sharing. And feeling comfortable around the people we call friends.
I spent the whole afternoon of yesterday slacking at home and playing games! (Been yearning for something like that for a LOOONG time)
And today. Well... But I've already booked another test and dun ask me when it is. I've decided not to tell so that I dun get additional pressure mounted on me.
I just hope that the next test will have conditions as lucky for me as this one (with not so much traffic and nuisances etc).

Terence pens his legacy at 9:17 PM Phew it has been 2 weeks since I blogged. And to be honest, it passed rather quickly. Perhaps it's due to the numbing I get from rushing ard giving tuition as well as playing Dungeons and Dragons Online till the wee hours of the night.
Yes ladies and gentlemen. Terence has officially turned into a game addict (well not so serious a case but hey...) It's ironic how I used to criticise my brother for playing his online games till the late hours and only give himself less (inadequate) sleep and only to not want to go to work / school the next day. Of course I still force myself up to get to work la (I'm not a lazy person haha) and I dun take MCs anyhow.
So yea anyway back to the point. It's so addictive. Maybe it's the game itself I dunno. Other MMORPGs are so focused (or at least to me la) on leveling and acquiring new skills that it left out the adventuring and intra-party comaraderie. Which DDO has lots of I assure you. Yes. I'm promoting the game haha. It's real good. if you look beyong purely aiming for high levels with no cares whatsoever with the process of the game (again the debate over the journey or the end results that matter), DDO really offers lots of quests to play. And of course having a small party allows you to really "bond" with your online mates and have a ball of a time working together to succeed. Unlike others where it's either too solo-based (you go and level up yourself) or where the parties are usually guilds or factions which consist of i dunno more than 30 ppl?
So yes back to reality. I have been playing this addictive game till like 3 or 4am usually. So that gives me, what, 3 to 4 hours of sleep only? Somehow I still manage to get thru the day (albeit taking shorts winks of not more than 10 mins each duting the day while on the bus or wherever).
But of course I know this sleep debt will carry over wan la. But I havent really given my body any chance to recover all those debts. *Guilty guilty* haha.
So anyway finally a long weekend came in the form of Labour Day. I remember thoroughly enjoying the weekend so much that when I had to return to work on Tuesday, a thought in the back of my head went "Har? Must go back to work ar?" I felt so CV-lised during the weekend.
Saturday was spen tuitioning and chionging my game quite substantially. Sunday I returned to BBDC after a 3 month hiatus (more about it later), followed by a JB shopping trip with 2 of my campmates. Eating good food, shopping for clothes. ENJOYMENT! Of course, after returning home, guess what time it was? DDO time yea! Till 3.30am.
Then came Monday. Finally played MJ and bridge with my usual dependable gang in da house Jan, Ray, Ren and Yu. But short-lived it wss. Only from 11am to 5pm... Well but at least I had the chance to hone my MJ/bridge skills without having to commit the sin of gambling (my frens are really moralistic and dun gamble, not at least when the 5 of us gather la... except maybe CNY but hey, that's like once a year haha...)
Yup. More DDO after that...
Got thru the week rather easily. Myabe becuz it's a 4 day week. Oh and on Wed I did my first duty as a guard 2 I/C. It's not the normal guards where I have to go to the mosquito-ridden sentry post. I get to stay in the admin area to man the guard room, opening doors and signing in/out keys etc etc (misc tasks).
It's cool too cuz I get uninterrupted sleep. Yea. I'm loving it! Ba da ba ba bar. I'm loving it!
Yup yet another driving lesson today. Not very optimistic leh... Hmm... and judging by the news I'm hearing from my frens, things are not looking too well lately. First-timers included.
Been bugged lately by a possible brush with the law. Keep getting an unsettling feeling in my stomach. The kind where u noe something it about to happen but not know when and u keep anticipating it but u dunno when it will come... Hate the feeling but sigh. Case could swing very hard either both ways.
Driving again tmr. I hope I out it to good use. I just drove ard the cirucit today in a pseudo-test environment and got myslef awarded 14 points + 3 imm failures. So encouraging right? Haha...
