CNY eve is finally here muhahaha. Tmr is cny liao which means goodies, ang paos and *er hem* oh. I quit gambling le. Hehe. Serious. But I'll find something to do I noe for sure. Maybe I'll bring along a book to read... or maybe my GB. Or maybe we'll all just stare at the TV screen watching some lion dance competition or old classic re-runs like we all always did in the past. Lol.
Anyway January was such a relaxing month for me as well... albeit a few complications cropping up regarding cny duties. Imagine having to work on BOTH cny 1 and 2. From 8.30am to 9.30pm on day 1 and 8.30 pm to 10am from cny 2 to cny 3 morning. So sian rites! So I had to take leave for cny 1 and there were complications. But they were all resolved. So yay!
Yep in fact thursday and yesterday I was resting at home slacking haha. Add on today and tmr muhahaha a really loooong cny celebration for me! But hao jing bu chang jiu. Next month onwards there will be big chnages to my ns life lo. From irregular shifts to standard 8.30 to 6 shifts. Having to guard duties now. But the regularity is good. Cuz starting next month I will be giving tuition once again. And regularity brings more regular regeneration within my body. More regular sleep. Should be better for me in the long run. Altho sadly no more combo offs in the future. Not like duty team esp night duties where for offs, buy 1 get 1 free heh heh.
So 2006 (lunar) looks to be promising. Hopefully all will go well. Happy cny one and all. Enjoy all the daidee/blackjack/mahjong sessions that will be coming up. And indulge in the goodies and all the red packets but drink more water and dun pass the flu bug! Cheers!
Terence pens his legacy at 10:46 AM heh I am supposed to be on day duty today... but I'm blogging from home cuz... I busted my ankle really badly and really no choice but to go get an mc for today n tmr... I've sprained my left ankle a few times now... but this time was really the worst yet... I really couldn't walk properly and had to limp SLOWLY around... :(
All thx to a game of badminton with jan and her cousin and her cousin's fren at West View Sec yesterday evening. I was a little tired b4 i started the game i had to admit... wasn't exactly in top form. Tried to compensate byt forcing myself to be extra alert but that backfired cuz I was anticipating the reactions of my opps and as a result reacted too early to many of their shots... One even got me jumping up and missing and falling on my... *drum roll* left foot...
Cuz I was hitting the gym from 3.30 to 6 with lao da before i went to play badminton... It has been quite a while since I went and thus i pushed myself really hard trying to run a lot and do a lot of weights... Not a good choice. But oh well it's all been said and done heh.
I finished the required lessons for being eligible to book my driving test on wed. So happy... Booked the test liao but it is all the way in May. May 10 to be precise. So LOOOONG away! But at least the slew of driving lessons is over. Now all that's left are revision lessons and the big test itself. I better pass on my first go man...
Right now I have to behave like a cripple. Confined to the walls of my home cuz I dun wanna walk too much and risk aggravating the injury. My poor left ankle. Never right but always left poor thing. Maybe becuz it's flat tt's why it never lands properly from a jump. *Sorry* haha

And also yet again losing blogging momentum... haha... exhaustion and stress i guess... Pimples are popping out again *gasps* and migraines are acting up again... all very obvious signs put forth by my own body to remind me that I am stressing myself out too much...
Which makes me wonder how I am going to survive law course if i take it, and how I will survive my jobs next time since there will def be high-stress periods...
NUS sent me a letter to "congratulate" me on the reservation of my place in law in 2007, reminding me once again of the internal conflict of money versus passion...
Funnily I am contemplating what I "wanted to be when I grow up" in sec 2 - a disc jockey... something I wouldn't mind being everyday. Dishing out music (which is so an integral part of my life) and giving the lowdowns on all the juciy gossips in the entertainment industry... Look I dun get my title as "ba gua gong" in sec sch for nth haha! At least at age 19 this is what I can see myself doing everyday without dragging my feet to work...
As compared to the stressful job of being an attorney (should I go down that path...)
Questions, crossroads, dilemmas... So much to think about... thankfully I have 2 more years than the girls of my batch...
On a lighter note... I'm starting to pick up reading once again... Since like when? Pri sch? Haha. I lost the imterest to hold a book sometime in my early sec sch years I think... Haven't really read fiction for a loooooong time. Thanks to Ly tho haha who would want to stop at bookstores to flip thru the lastest books and allowing me to pick up a few books once again... I'm currently reading "The Last Juror" by John Grisham...
Tried to find a nice functional slingbag at Bugis on Tues with Jan and Ray but couldn't find a suitable one... :( My poor green sling has been sucking up dirt and grime for like a year and a half liao! I need a new one! Haha...
Starting to organise myself for tuition again... Year 2006 has begun and so has school...
2 more auto-car lessons on tuesday and I can book my driving test liao!!! (earliest date given so far is Mid April) I want to drive soon PLEASE!!!
CNY is coming. Have yet to go down to Chinatown to look ard, smell and absorb the festive essence. Can u smell the fresh crisp notes coming???!!!

Sigh... It has been so much these past few days... It's so wrenching cause it really spoils the mood for going out and foils my plans when I'm out. And also it's so good for napping but I just dun seem to have the time to do that!!! Argh!!!

Weary draggy week
A week absence... dunno why but the past week seemed to be a rather tiring one for me... din feel like blogging when I turned on my com and came online...
Did I do anything much? No... But I remember surviving 2 duty off days (the day after a night shift) on like very minimal sleep... as a result tt's what I think made me feel tired the whole week... plus the usual "drives" me exhausted driving lessons (oh i cleared stage 3 liao... a feel more lessons and I can book my test le!!! But earliest for now is April leh... :( )
Tried to run regularly, in accordance to a new resolution I set of keeping fit and running at least twice a week, but alas the weather was not very kind... Everytime I wanted to go out running at the park near my place, it would start raining and so I would just stay at home and grow fat. In fact I only ran once this week and it was in a drizzle summore :@ Like come on!
A lot of bold plans this yr... I wanna learn russian but it seems that in Singapore it isn't a language offered by common language schools... Will have to learn *gasp* online?? I dunno la for me I learn better when someone actually stands there and teaches me... Cuz I wanna backpack thru russia like in the near future... optimistically it would be next yr after I ORD before I start uni but I think sensibly speaking it may not fall thru... so there. But still keeping my options open :D. It's hard to find ppl who like to bkpack among my close circle of frens... most of them it seems like to be a pampered traveller... So... anyone interested??? Hehe
That's it for now. Nothing interesting for this month I guess... I'm filling my schedule up with driving lesson after driving lesson... Next month maybe, when I shift to regular hours will my weekends be more interesting. Signing off!

Happy 2006 to all!!!
Just came back from watching fireworks at Waterfront by The Esplanade... OMG u shld have seen the crowd there... For those of u who actually like me siao siao go and squeeze to watch the fireworks, congrats! We caught it at last!
Actually this time round, I felt watching the fireworks was a much more enjoyable experience for me cuz 1) the display fireworks were more vibrant and interesting than the national day ones esp the "liu xing yu" (shooting stars) as I call it... and 2) this time round I was actually at the esplanade and not the park opposite the river so I could hear the music they composed to go along with the fireworks.
Anyway this was a first for me - the crowd I mean... Haha. I wun be so siao as to do this again I guess... all the bottlenecking at the stations and escalators and walkways... But it was fun yo!
